Looks like I won’t be getting windows 11 right away. I guess you need a good enough CPU to run the OS. Which sucks, because I know my current PC isn’t going to be able to use it.

Also, according to the article below, Windows 11 may not allow you to download certain updates without a good enough CPU. I worry that this will result in Microsoft having to make a different version of Windows 11, otherwise not everyone will be adopting windows 11 at release. Especially me.

Well conversion will take a while, and Microsoft knows it, it took a while for Windows 7 to Windows 10 conversion, some companies converted well after the support deadline for Windows 7 expired. Individuals also took their time to convert. Therefore Microsoft is not expecting anything different here. By the time they will be converting, when all issues are worked out that are usually there at start, people would have upgraded their hardware.

It kinda sucks, but I don’t expect Windows 11 to be adopted for another year or two for most people. I think for the most part, we’ll be using Windows 10 for a while to come. I doubt they will make Windows 11 compatible with old PCs though.

I’m still using 7. Though I might be forced to go to 10.

I’d though Microsoft was stopping with 10. They were going to sell add-ones and upgrades instead of a whole new OS.
