Did you guys hear about this? OnlyFans is looking for new investors I guess and due to that they are blocking any adult, or shall I say, sexual content.

Reminds me of the time Tumblr did the same, how is that site doing these days? I’m honestly surprised it’s still alive. How bad do you think this will end up resulting for OnlyFans?

And honestly, OnlyFans should have never been about adult content, but that’s what ended up happening. I think they just wanted it to be a patreon goal. But hey, even Patreon deals with adult content.

Anyway, do you think this will kill OnlyFans?

When that happened all the Tumbllerinas moved to Twitter, and that’s why everything has declined there. Or at least sped it up.

I’m happy about the death of OnlyFans. It was creating unhealthy relationships, I also remember reading several articles about how OnlyFans girls were unable to get boyfriends.

lol yup. I think this is the final nail in the coffin for OnlyFans. I can’t see them coming back from this to be honest. But if you think about it, it wasn’t even meant to be used in this way. It is essentially the same thing as Patreon anyway. I’m sure something new will replace it pretty fast.

Maybe not, the fact visa/Mastercard compelled them to change their operation feels a bit off.

I had my PayPal cancelled forever recently for no apparent reason without appeal (for life) and I am not liking the optics of this.

It’s definitely a complicated issue. I read more into it and heard stories that minors were being exploited on the site as well. Not good at all. I think that’s what started this whole thing.

Going crypto would remove the power of the payment processing companies from calling the shots. But how many people actually use crypto? Might backfire.

Wow I did not see that coming. But I guess when you receive that much backlash, it’s kinda to be expected. Wonder if they will lose any investments because of it.

I was surprised they backed down on the policy change. I thought they had investors who weren’t too keen on the adult content. Wonder if they will lose those investors now.

But yeah, I don’t know if it would have hurt OnlyFans to remove adult content, but I’m going to guess it would have. Especially with the backlash that came out because of it. This isn’t going to be a tumblr 2.0 story.
